The player features A New Brain For Arnie, a progressive jam rock band from Colorado Springs, Co, established in 2005. A New Brain For Arnie has taken the improvisational element of 'jamband' to the next level. Creating music 'right before your very ears,' is the band's trademark. Their quest is to continue the musical expression the 'jamband' scene has been known for (extended jam/improvisational sessions); but, with a focus on all-improvisational performance. Led by 5x Grammy-nominated, Kim Stone (formerly, The Rippingtons, Spyro Gyra, Firefall), A New Brain For Arnie combines the sensibilities of rock with the improvisational elements of jazz. The band's tight arrangements and compositions are true artistic expression and a treat for the connoisseur of the jam rock (jamband) genre. While A New Brain For Arnie does create new, original music, the band does not write their music down as musical notes on a piece of paper. Therefore, nothing is ever rehearsed, and each time they perform, they take their audience on a brand new musical journey. And, although the band defies description or label, it has often been referred to as acid jazz and psychedelic jazz, as well as jamband and jam rock. (staff)

'What's Your Idea of Time?'

What's Your Idea of Time? That's the theme of this up close view on one of the country's most well-respected, long-established Jam Rock bands.  And, yeah, they certainly put the ROCK in Jam Rock!

Recorded in Atlanta, GA:  Columbus, Ohio-based eKoostiK hooKah share some great tidbits regarding their history and their music today during this intimate interview with AtlantaJams.com... just before they hit the stage for the first night of recording their LIVE rendition of their first release, Under Full Sail, at TreeSound Studio in Atlanta, GA.  hooKah has an incredible Jam Rock history since their inception in 1991, and produce one of the USA's largest
Jam Rock music festivals, Hookahville!
